Project Architect

Runberg Architecture Group is looking for an Architect I or II with four to eight years’ experience to serve as a Project Architect on mixed-use and multifamily projects. Responsibilities include:

• architectural design solutions for multifamily and mixed-use projects
• preparing presentation, design drawings and construction documents
• developing feasibility studies 
• coordinating the work of the design team and consultants through all project phases
• effectively communicating with the client, consultants, and jurisdiction

This is a growth position; we are looking to develop a talented project architect into a successful project manager. Qualified candidates will have some experience taking on project management tasks but are not expected to have already managed a job independently. They will also have the ability to foster the development of architectural design, employ exceptional documentation and organizational skills, have an enthusiasm for supporting the team effort and sharing knowledge with others, and have strong communications skills. Intent to focus on multi-family and mixed-use projects is important but experience in the project type is not required.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have an accredited degree in architecture (B Arch or M Arch), a minimum of 4 years’ experience, and either hold, or be working to obtain, professional architectural registration and LEED accreditation. We work in Revit; experience in the program is not required provided you have enthusiasm and aptitude to learn. Additionally, skills in other software programs (AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and PhotoShop) are beneficial. Above all, a positive attitude and affinity for working in project teams is a must.

Job Captain

Runberg Architecture Group is looking for a Job Captain / Project Designer with two to five years of experience. Responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager and/or Project Architect in development of documents; manage electronic files, implement standards and organize milestones; coordinating with consultants, participate in meetings, develop effective graphic presentations; assist in Construction Administration; and research products and help maintain materials library.

The successful candidate will have the ability to execute architectural concepts and develop design and construction documents. He or she will take initiative in realizing project goals, setting priorities and meeting deadlines. This person will also employ exceptional documentation and organization skills and use tact and discretion in order to maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have an accredited degree in architecture (BA or BS in Architecture). Working knowledge of building codes, building systems, and materials and methods is desirable. The ability to execute architectural concepts and develop design and construction documents is also required. Candidate will have working experience with SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite as well as be proficient in MS Office Suite. We draft exclusively in Revit so experience with the program is desired, but may be substituted with an enthusiasm to learn.
